When the news of a possible HIP coming to Buffalo Road and Chander Road was disseminated by Resident Committee (RC) members, residents were overjoyed.

The final announcement came when HDB confirmed that the plans were formed and a poll was carried out to seek the residents acceptance of HIP.

Moulmein Tekka RC celebrating National Day with a giving spirit

On 16 August 2014, Moulmein Tekka organized a National Day Dinner for more than 400 residents and guests. What made this year’s celebration special was the presence of more than 200 senior citizens invited from different estates such as Jurong, Aljunied, Tampines, among others. There was a variety of performances presented by singers as well as residents to keep guests entertained for more than 3 hours. To make the experience more enjoyable and memorable, five buses were chartered and goodie bags were given out at the end of the event to all the senior citizens. It was heart warming to see many volunteers, from young to old, helping out.


Moulmein AAC Cycling And Makan Sharing Session

On 20/09/2014 Saturday, moulmein participants attended the AAC Fun Cycling and Makan Sharing Session @ East Coast Park. Many residents tried out the 4 seater bicycle for the first time. This bicycle allows interaction among residents and their family, as they can chit-chat while pedalling the bicycle together. Most of the residents enjoyed the event , which ended with a buffet breakfast .


Moulmein AAC Mid Autumn Gathering

Moulmein AAC had a Mid Autumn Gathering on 09/09/14, Tuesday Organise organised by Moulmein AAC, Pek Kio SCEC and Owen RC SCEC.Programs on that day include Singing, Belly Dancing Demo, Colour Cards brain games and buffet dinner. During the Belly Dancing demo, about 8 participants were invited on stage to try out belly dancing. The event ended at 10pm with a simple brain Game.


Deepavali Light-up Walkabout

All moulmein residents and especially moulmein new citizens and new PRs are invited to join this walkabout.

Date : 16/10/14, thursday
Time : 6.30pm sharp, meet Farrer Park MRT control-station
Venue : deepavali festive markets
Ticket : free but registration is required.
