Dunearn NC @ Youth Chapter Trampoline Event

On 18/7/15, dunearn participants went to ZOOM PARK ASIA , 200 Pandan Gardens #01-04 and we did amazing Cirque du Soleil somersaults and mid-air splits, haha * Just joking * In reality , we bounced and rolled around a bit and had lots of fun .

 

Dunearn NC Durian Festival

On 17/7/15, Dunearn participants had a big durian party at university park , where we ate a lot of durians . The highlight of the event was the durian eating contest and the durian peeling contest . It did rain a bit that evening which cooled down the hot weather and there was still a tremendous turn-out of residents . We seriously love durians !

Family Cycling Fun 2015 at East Coast Park

On 27/6/15, Saturday, Moulmein residents attended the Cycling Event at East Coast Park. This time round we were glad to have fringe activities from C2E and CACC to promote arts and Culture and Emergency Preparedness in the community through games and Paintings. We observed families painting chairs together, partnering as a team to play games at C2E booths. The event with some light refreshments for the participants.

 

DUNEARN NC @ HAR PAR VILLA

On 13/6/15, Dunearn NC participants attended a guided tour to Har Par Villa which contains over 1,000 statues and 150 giant dioramas depicting scenes from Chinese mythology. The park, originally called Tiger Balm Gardens, was built in 1937 by the Burmese- Chinese brothers Aw Boon Haw and Aw Boon Par, the developers of Tiger Balm.

(Moulmein Dunearn Neighbourhood Committee is a successful applicant in the National Heritage Board (NHB) heritage grant scheme.)

 

DUNEARN NC @ TEMPLE TOUR

On 6/6/15, Dunearn nc participants and heritage buffs enjoyed a historic temple tour at Yueh Hai Ching Temple and Thian Hock Keng Temple . The oldest teochew temple in Singapore is the Yueh Hai Ching Temple , which was built in 1895 . It also received the 2014 Unesco Asia-Pacific Heritage Site Award . Participants learnt about the early immigrants and their lives, their clans and their religions . (Moulmein Dunearn Neighbourhood Committee is a successful applicant in the National Heritage Board (NHB) heritage grant scheme.)
